"It always seems impossible until it’s done." – Nelson Mandela
I was born and raised in New York and moved to DC to attend Howard University (class of 2016). After graduation, I spent two years working and saving money and then spending it all on my travel addiction. In two trips over a total of seven months, I’ve been to India, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Tying cake boxes at a bakery. I was fourteen and getting paid under the table to literally tie. Cake. Boxes.
I volunteer with So Others Might Eat.
The day I got on a plane and flew to India. I never traveled much growing up and had probably only been on a plane twice in my life. After graduating college, I decided it was time to change that, so I went on a three-month solo backpacking trip to India.
I have an endless list but my top few would be Prince, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Jill Scott, Jazmine Sullivan, New Edition, Vybz Kartel, and A Tribe Called Quest.
