"We can never allow our inability to do everything to undermine our determination to do something." – Senator Cory Booker
I’m a proud second-generation Washingtonian. Growing up in DC shaped my interest in politics and encouraged me to be an active participant in our democracy. I’ll never forget my 8th grade History teacher taking our class to Union Station, where we encouraged commuters to vote in the upcoming election. I completed my first political internship as a Summer 2013 intern in the Obama White House, which solidified my passion for politics. When I’m not talking politics, I’m telling anyone who will listen about my home away from home: Sevilla, Spain.
I started babysitting when I was 13. I was paid well and got free pizza.

My grandmother was a trailblazer. I’ve always wanted to follow in her footsteps.
From a young age I’ve been involved with church-based service groups. I’m also passionate about volunteering in Spanish-speaking communities.
It’s hard to choose one favorite food, but my favorite cuisines are Italian, Japanese, and Indian.
